Asians and Africans in Dubai are happier than Arabs

The fourth Dubai Social Survey 2015 conducted by the Community Development Authority (CDA) is out, and according to this, the majority of the Dubai residents are happy, safe, and proud to be living in Dubai. This report discloses that people of Dubai are happier than they were in 2011 and 2013.  

 

On a scale of 0 to 10 and 10 being 'extremely happy', the average rating given by the Dubai residents is 8.2 on their degree of happiness. Interestingly, the lowest ratings were given by the Arabs which is 7.4 the average, and Asians and Africans gave the highest rating 8.4 on the average. 

 

As per age group, the elderly are happiest among the participants of this survey followed by people between 18 years to 29 years of age. This trend drops among people between the age group of 30 to 58. 

 

In the survey, some people pointed out that there are areas of improvement, like services for differently-abled, couple of financial matters as well as volunteering. 

 

The data for this survey was collected from 15,165 people, and this survey aims at measuring the present levels of various key performance indicators of Dubai Strategic Plan to access happiness, safety, service satisfaction, and social issues of communities living in Dubai.
