Keep realistic goals: Whether it’s the universal lose weight or quitting a bad habit like nicotine, be realistic in your attempts to do so. Keep a time schedule of easily achievable milestones by breaking into tiny events. For example: Instead of quitting cigarettes overnight, start by reducing the number of cigarettes you have a day, and slowly work your way to smoking none by the end of the month.
Get yourself a cheerleader: While it’s not going to be all rah rah rah sunshine and rainbows. Besides being your own cheerleader, get someone who will motivate and push you and keep you on the straight and narrow, when you find yourself faltering.
Journal: If your goal, is losing weight – then record every progress, what you ate etc. These will hold you accountable, and will help you monitor and progress your journey.
