Now, in the age of Tinder and other dating apps, casual sex, has become commonplace, but not necessarily shouted from the rooftops, and usually spoken between friends.
It all started when Delhi-based Naomi Barton realised that not many people were aware of these rules existed, only after a friend confided in her.
She then gave her primer of casual sex rules.
