If there’s a wedding trend this season, it’s the new age Indian bride. Women are no longer the shy, demure damsels on their wedding day. Instead, they are bold, expressive and in some cases, shocking too.
Just recently, an Indian bride ditched her heavy lehenga to dance without a care for Sia’s Cheap Thrills. And it seems as if another bride got inspired by her. The internet recently was introduced to a Punjabi bride who traded in her lehenga for a pair of Nike shorts.
Yes, that’s right. The bride wore a delicately embroidered Indian blouse, chunky jewellery, a heavy veil and underneath it all, she wore her gym shorts.
It’s not yet known what motivated her to pair such a bizarre combination but the internet was amused by the bride’s fashion sense, even if the bridegroom and the family was fine with it.
