It is estimated that the number of Tamils in Canada crosses the 3,00,000 mark and this includes population from India and Srilanka.
Canada, last year, had officially declared that it will celebrate the culture of its Tamil population each January. And true to their promise you have the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau starting off the celebrations by greeting the Tamil community in Canada and wishing them on Pongal.
