The Tamil-Canadians are being recognised for the incredible contributions to the Canadian society Canada, last year, had officially declared that it will celebrate the culture of its Tamil population each January

There is a significant chunk of the Tamil Community settled in Canada. The Tamil-Canadians  have been recognised for the incredible contributions to the society and for adding to the richness of the language, heritage and culture through the country. It is estimated that the number of Tamils in Canada crosses the 3,00,000 mark and this includes population from India and Srilanka.
 

Canada, last year, had officially declared that it will celebrate the culture of its Tamil population each January. And true to their promise you have the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau starting off the celebrations by greeting the Tamil community in Canada and wishing them on Pongal.
