
Kolkata: Gradually, the recovery rate of COVID patients is increasing in West Bengal. According to statistics, over 3,000 coronavirus patients have recovered and returned home in a single day. A bulletin from the state health department on Monday (August 31) stated that 2,993 people were infected with COVID-19 in a single day.
The total number of infected people in the state stands at 1,62,778. In a single day, 3,318 people have recovered in West Bengal. On Sunday (August 30), the number was 3,308. So far, a total of 1,34,270 people have recovered in the state. The recovery rate has increased to 82.49%.

The number of COVID cases has also decreased in the state. Currently, there are 25,280 active cases. 52 people have died in the last 24 hours. On Sunday (August 30), the death toll was 50. In all, 3,228 people have died due to COVID-19 in the state. Out of the 52 deaths in the state, 10 are from Kolkata, 13 from North 24 Parganas, 9 from South 24 Parganas, 3 from Howrah, 4 from Hooghly, and 1 from West Burdwan.
There are also several more districts included in this list. 1 person died from East Burdwan, 3 from East Medinipur, 1 from Bankura, and 4 from Nadia. Besides, one COVID patient died each in Murshidabad, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar. A cumulative total of 42,239 COVID-19 tests conducted in the state in a single day. On Sunday (August 30), the number was 43,436. So far, the number of COVID-19 tests in the state stands at 18,87,635.
