The Indian swimmers could not come up with a decent performance in Tokyo Olympics. Sajan Prakash finished fourth in heats of the 200m butterfly event, while with an overall 24th position, he failed to make it to the semis.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics saw no relief from Indian swimmers as well. On Monday, the heats for the men's 200m butterfly event were conducted, with Sajan Prakash taking part.

Prakash finished fourth in the heats, clocking 1:57.22, as he finished fourth in his heat, while he was placed 24th overall. With only the top-16 making it to the semis, he missed out on his chance.

Meanwhile, Prakash is scheduled to take part in the 100m butterfly event on Thursday. He remains the sole surviving Indian swimmer at the Games, with Maana Patel and Srihari Nataraj already being ousted in the 100m backstroke event on Sunday.
