Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the reigning world number one in ATP Singles, is the biggest draw in the men's tennis of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He is off to a winning start in the competition and is a favourite for the gold medal going forward.
However, it seems like tennis might not be the only sport he excels in. In a recent set of pictures shared by him, Djokovic performed the splits during a workout session and the Belgium team.
Consequently, it seemed like he could be a contender even in the gymnastics team for Serbia. He captioned the post, "Working on my splits with @teambelgium gymnastics ;) 🇧🇪🇷🇸🙌🏼".
Djokovic's split performance should not come as a surprise. He is one of the most physical players in modern-day tennis, as he stretches out to the fullest while playing his shots.
Djokovic won his opening clash of the Games against Hugo Dellien of Bolivia in straight sets (6-2, 6-2). He would take on Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany on Monday in the next round.
Djokovic is on the bid for his maiden Olympic singles gold. Winning the same would allow him a chance at becoming the first male player to complete the Calendar Golden Slam, provided he wins the upcoming US Open Grand Slam next month.
