In the process, he has now become the longest-reigning world number one among men. Consequently, he has also surpassed Roger Federer's all-time record of 310.

Notably, this is Djokovic's fifth stint as world number one, where he has maintained the same for 36 weeks, which happens to be his lowest so far. His best run happened to be his third, between July 2014 to November 2016, where he had held on to the position for 122 weeks.

Currently, Djokovic also holds the record of finishing the most calendar years as world number one, having done so on six occasions, jointly along with Pete Sampras of the United States of America.
