“Milkha Singh continues to be stable on oxygen support. He is weak, and we are trying to encourage him to increase his diet. He and his wife both are under observation,” said Fortis Hospital in Mohali in a statement, reports IANS.

As the statement confirms, Milkha’s wife, Nirmal Saini, has also been admitted to the same hospital and is being kept under observation. Although she had tested negative for the coronavirus earlier along with other members, she tested positive upon a re-test on Wednesday and had to be hospitalised.

“Milkha Singh continues to be stable on oxygen support. He is weak, and we are trying to encourage him to increase his diet. He and his wife both are under observation,” said Fortis Hospital in Mohali in a statement, reports IANS.
