Milkha Singh admitted to hospital yet again, PM Narendra Modi wishes him speedy recovery

Milkha Singh remains the most legendary athlete and sprinter in Indian history. He was diagnosed with COVID positive a couple of weeks back and was admitted to the hospital, where he quickly recovered. However, he has been admitted again.

Legendary former Indian athlete and sprinter Milkha Singh has suffered a health scare again. He has been admitted to the hospital following a dip in his oxygen level.

Milkha had tested COVID positive a couple of weeks back and had been admitted to Mohali's Fortis Hospital as a precautionary measure. Although he had made a swift recovery, the fresh concern forced him to be moved to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh."Four days after he was discharged from a Mohali hospital, he has been again admitted to a local hospital in Chandigarh," a source told IANS.

Meanwhile, Milkha's wife Nirmal Kaur had tested COVID positive, along with pneumonia, and was admitted to Fortis, where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit. "Mrs Milkha Singh continues to be in the ICU with fluctuating oxygen requirement," said the hospital in a statement.

It all began after a cook at Milkha's place had tested COVID positive a couple of weeks back. The cook happened to be his old associate, working for him for the past 50 years.

Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi checked on Milkha and enquired about his health.
