When Pooja Bhatt spoke about combatting alcohol addiction

Pooja Bhatt has faced her battle with alcoholism in the past and in a recent social media post she shared how the process of healing actually is, read on.

Not many know that Pooja Bhatt has been combatting alcoholism for the longest time, There was a time when she could not do without alcohol, but the actress is been sober for the last four years.

But it's not and never was an easy process for her. The Sadak actress in her social media post wrote how healing is a constant process and require s a lot of patience.

In her post she even mentioned that relapses and urges are fine it's about how to tackle them and feeling vulnerable is also so fine.

Taking over to her Social media account she expressed that recently she had a great urge to drink and it came out of nowhere.

She said that in the middle of an afternoon she was watching a brilliant show with her dog settled comfortably and was in a happy place but that palpable urge hit her like a tsunami threatening to drown down all that she has built for last years.

She further wrote, "So what did I do? I allowed the feeling to sweep over me. Resisting would be guaranteed that I drown. I sat there and imagined popping open a bottle of champagne, pouring myself a glass, and letting the bubbles course through my being like effervescent stars. It felt heady. Then the feeling passed."

She further wrote, "I got up and walked into my sun-soaked garden, rife with birdsong and exhaled loudly. This too had passed. I share this to tell myself and other no matter how far you are on the road to recovery from anything that chains you... be it a substance, feeling, or even a person, you are one step away from succumbing and landing up exactly where you started."

"Healing is a constant process. It requires compassion, not bravado. Which is why each day also provides a 'win' and summit to scale... and believe when I say, the view from the top makes the arduous task of climbing worthwhile. So plough on, scale on and DON'T look back while you are climbing. Look back if you must, only from the summit and to see how far you've come." She even wrote one day at a time, one step at a time, and recovery rocks.
