Was Kareena Kapoor going to give up her career for Hrithik Roshan? (Throwback)

Some reports suggested that Kareena Kapoor was willing to give up her career to be with Hrithik Roshan. A few reports also suggest that Kareena had cut her vein for the actor.   

The linkup rumours of Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan's relationship was always a hot topic of discussion in the past, thanks to their undying chemistry and sizzling equation.

The duo starred in many films together, and each time, fans could not resist but gush about how incredibly hot they looked together. During her initial days in the industry, Kareena was linked with Hrithik Roshan, but she had rubbished all the rumours. 

The rumours started to float in when they two starred in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001; soon after the movie was released, their on-screen chemistry became the talk of the town. They even worked in Yaadein and Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. 

The twist was that Hrithik was already married to Sussanne Khan. Some reports suggest that his family had to put a foot between the alleged rumour and ask Kareena Kapoor to maintain a distance from Roshan. Some reports suggested that she was willing to give up her career to be with Hrithik. A few reports also suggest that Kareena had cut her vein for the actor.

In an interview with Filmfare (2002), Kareena Kapoor refuted these rumours and said that she was more bothered for his marriage and that it would get affected by these rumours. For her, it was a professional hazard. She even called the articles about her giving up the career false, and she said that she would never do it, at least not for a man. She had also said that if her partner asks her to give up the career, she would kick his butt and ask him to get lost. 

Cut to present, Hrithik Roshan will be seen in Fighter with Deepika Padukone. The actor was last seen in Super 30. While Kareena Kapor is currently enjoying her motherhood with newborn baby Jeh, the actress will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha.
