Parveen Babi: She was one of the most glamorous and beautiful actresses in Bollywood, who became mentally unstable and spent many years in a mental hospital in the USA. She was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on 22 January 2005.

Famous actress Meena Kumari was known as the 'tragedy queen' of Indian cinema. She was an alcoholic and the habit damaged her liver. She died in 1972. Reportedly, she died all alone three weeks after the movie 'Pakeezah' released with no money left to pay her hospital bills. Her family later sold off her bungalow to pay her medical bills.
