More trouble for Gauhar Khan; cine body issues non-cooperation directive against the actress

Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive for two months against the actress on Tuesday; read more details.

Mumbai Police had filed an FIR against Gauhar Khan for allegedly flouting the Covid-19 protocol and shooting a film after being tested positive for coronavirus. Now the cine body hastaken action against the actress.

The FIR was launched based on the complaint of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Now new trouble for the actress as on TuesdaFederation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive for two months against the actress.

In a strongly-worded statement, the body slammed Khan for endangering the lives of the entire crew. FWICE said it wouldn't tolerate such actions.

"It is hereby advised to all the members of our affiliated craft to distance themselves from being associated with Ms Gauahar Khan for the next two months until a fresh directive is issued by the FWICE," the directive read.

FWICE's president BN Tiwari also condemned Khan's irresponsible behaviour. He believes that the whole industry is facing challenging times, amid that such reckless behaviour by Khan will put more people's lives at risk. Now the cast and crew had to be put under quarantine.

Meanwhile, Khan took to her Instagram account and posted an indirect message, "Inshallah maa as saabreen sabr n shukr. The truth shall always prevail." Khan's team had maintained that she was innocent as is a law-abiding citizen and has tested negative in several reports.
