The Kashmir Files starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Puneet Issar and others, is based on the genocide and mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
Director Vivek Agnihotri started its shooting since November. And Mithun Chakraborty had been on the sets till he fell for the food poisoning.
While shooting an action sequence on Saturday, the veteran actor couldn't stand. According to a Mid-day report, the shoot was halted abruptly because of his health issue, though he wanted to finish the sequence. The actor has never faced such a situation in his four-decade acting career, shared Vivek.
The director shared to a Mid-day report, "It was an action scene, mounted on a big scale, and everything was centered on Mithun sir's character. He had a terrible bout of food poisoning and was unable to even stand. After taking a brief break, he finished the sequence".
Once the legend got done with the shot, he was asked to take sufficient rest. The director further told, "When he returned to the set on Sunday morning, he ensured that he made up for the backlog".
