Kangana Ranaut's first film director Anurag Basu opens up on her public persona; here's what he said

We all know Gangster was Kangana Ranaut in her debut movie, which was directed by Anurag Basu in 2006. The movie was rumoured to be based on the life of Abu Salem and former actressmodel Monica Bedi, it got positive reviews from the critics.

So, in an interview with Mid-Day, Anurag Basu with whom she worked in Gangster, has opened up on the actress.

Talking about Kangana’s public persona, Basu says, “Not really. We usually don't meet, but whenever we do, this [public] persona is not the Kangana I [know] personally. So I think there are two Kanganas. Beech wali [the other one] I don't understand.”

Basu also mentioned, that Kangana initially needed guidance for everything but was a fast learner. The filmmaker also said that he saw her growth during the filming of Gangster itself. He then says that there was something raw and organic about the actress.

Kangana is currently busy with her upcoming films one of on late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi and another is of an Indian Air Force pilot in Tejas.
