Mani Ratnam's film Ponniyan Selvan that also stars Aishwarya Rai, has landed in trouble. It is said to be a great film based on a historical and action-based storyline.

Now the film is surrounded by trouble and trolling as netizens are demanding the arrest of actress Trisha as she walked in a religious place wearing chappals.

The actress is targetted for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the people, and now they have demanded her arrest. Trisha was shooting in an old temple located in Indore, and a few scenes were shot between her and Aishwarya Rai, but what caught people's attention is that she wore chappals inside the holy shrine.

In no time, her pictures went viral on social media, inviting massive backlash. The complaint has been lodged in the police station. A few days back, a horse died on the spot while shooting for the film due to a head-on collision.

PETA India filed a complaint and Abdullapurment Police also lodged an FIR against Madras Talkies. The film is said to be a historical drama that stars Aishwarya Rai in a pivotal role.
