In an interview, Rangeela director, Varma recently shared that he was bothered by Kangana calling Matondkar a 'soft po*n' star.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he said. "The remark bothers me, but I am saying that freedom of speech is fundamentally about that. If it does not bother other people, what is the point of speaking it. I also say a lot of things about a lot of people. I am sure they get offended too. So I also don't have a right to talk about somebody else."

"The point of social media is to express an opinion, and sometimes the language gets very offensive, but what is the whole point of freedom of speech. I would like to believe that it is in distaste and the context of my personal feelings about Urmila about her performance, " he further added.

Earlier talking to PTI, Urmila had said, "I think she has been given undue importance, and I don't think of giving any further importance to her."
