There is a saying that 'wheels of fortune rotate' and filmmakers who think by roping in superstar Rajinikanth can grab luck with both hands, have tasted failure. If the audience does not get entertained, they don't mind giving thumbs down to stars like Rajinikanth.
 

Rajinikanth, a name that is enough to send shockwaves and indicate box office collection can also disappoint. Not once but many times here are some films which have big expectations but flopped at the box office.After 1999's Padaiyappa which was a mass entertainer and a well-balanced family film with every element to cheer, the audience are fans still waiting to get their thirst for Rajinikanth's cult film like this to get quenched but are left disappointed. Darbar-2020Darbaar like other films is an out and out Rajinikanth fans film and what made it interesting is it was AR Murugadoss film. While the director presented Rajini as a Mumbai police chief taking on the drug mafia, the film fails to entertain post the first half. The director was accused of not working enough on the screenplay in this film.
