Darbaar like other films is an out and out Rajinikanth fans film and what made it interesting is it was AR Murugadoss film. While the director presented Rajini as a Mumbai police chief taking on the drug mafia, the film fails to entertain post the first half. The director was accused of not working enough on the screenplay in this film.
