According to a report in GQ, Shahid Kapoor did not say no to Rockstar. But reports state that Imtiaz Ali approached Shahid with the scripts of both Jab We Met and Rockstar. When asked to select, the actor chose Jab We Met, and the rest is history.
Shahid Kapoor played the role of Aditya Kashyap in Jab We Met, who falls in love with Kareena Kapoor's character Geet in Jab We Met. Shahid was perfect as Aditya, and we could not think of anyone else who would have done justice to his role.
This is also one of his notable and most celebrated performances to date. Cut to the present, Shahid is married to Mira Rajput and has two kids, Misha and Zain. The actor was last seen in Kabir Singh, and he will star in Jersey with Mrunal Thakur.
