The lady superstar Nayanthara refused to do the item song in the film Chennai Express. Before this, Nayanthara had received many offers to work in Bollywood, but she rejected for one or the other reason.

Nayanthara said no to Chennai Express for two big reasons. First, Nayan was not willing to do an item number.

And the other reason is that the song was being choreographed by her ex-lover Prabhu Deva's brother Raju Sundaram.
