Akshay Kumar hospitalised after testing Covid positive

Akshay Kumar has been hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19. The actor is admitted to Mumbai's Hiranandani hospital.
 

Yesterday, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar announced on social media that he had tested positive for Covid-19, is now hospitalised. According to reports, Kumra was admitted to Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai at around 5 pm on April 04.

Akshay also took to Twitter on Monday morning, April 5, and informed his fans about his health condition. He wrote, "Thank you, everyone, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care."

On Sunday morning, he shared a note on Instagram to inform about his Covid -19 test that reads, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon (sic)."

Akshay Kumar is the latest Bollywood star to have tested positive for COVID-19. Before him, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Paresh Rawal, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others have contracted coronavirus.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Akshay was supposed to continue the shoot in Madh Island, on April 5 for Ram Setu along with 100 junior artists. However, it is being informed that 45 junior artists from the 100 have tested positive for COVID-19. Now, producer Vikram Malhotra made it mandatory for everyone to get tested before arriving on Ram Setu's sets.
