Virat Kohli to get special suite as Team India land in Sydney for Australia tour

Team India has arrived in Australia ahead of a two-month tour. The tour would consist of three ODIs and T20Is each, along with four Tests. The tour gets underway from November 27 in Sydney, with ODIs, followed by T20Is, and concludes with the Tests.

After a gruelling two-month intense action in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL), it's time of international action, as Team India would take on Australia. It would all happen in Australia, starting November 27, as the teams play three ODIs and T20Is, along with four Tests.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian side will start off the Australian tour with the T20Is. The opening contest of the three-match series is in Brisbane on October 11. After this, Australia will host the T20 World Cup from October 18 to November 15.After the ICC global event, India and Australia will face off in four Tests for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Then, in the New Year, India will play three ODIs against the hosts.

It was on Wednesday, when the Indian team, led by Virat Kohli, left for Australia from Dubai. After almost 16 hours of journey, Team India has landed in Sydney, where they would begin the tour with the ODI series. Canberra would be the other venue for the limited-overs contests.

India would currently undergo a 14-day quarantine-cum-training in the outskirts of Sydney. Along with the Indian team, a few Australians, including David Warner, Steve Smith and Pat Cummins, too, arrived, following the conclusion of their respective IPL duties. The Australians would train separately, as they would join their national camp from November 22.

The players have been taken to the Sydney Olympic Park. Meanwhile, during the quarantine, they would have their training in the Blacktown International Sports Park, which would be under the bio-bubble sphere.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Indian skipper Virat Kohli would be given a superior penthouse suite in the hotel, which is ideally used by Australian rugby legend Brad Fittler. Furthermore, the NSW state government would also allow a limited number of family members, adhering to the quarantine protocols.

Besides, Australia would be wearing a new-look jersey for the upcoming T20I series against India, as they are terming the new jersey 'Indigenous'. Similarly, it is also being reported that India might don a jersey on the lines of the 1992 World Cup, to give a retro feel. However, the reason for the change of jersey has not been identified yet.
