Virat Kohli joins Team India’s bio-bubble in UAE ahead of Australia tour

Virat Kohli enters Team India’s bio-bubble in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The whole Indian squad will first aggregate in the Gulf, following which they will leave for Australia on November 12. They are scheduled to play three ODIs and T20Is each, along with four Tests.

Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, who captains Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has joined India’s bio-bubble ahead of India’s tour to Australia. He diverted his energy to the ‘Men in Blue’, following RCB’s loss against Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator during playoffs.

Team India will tour Australia for 70 days tournament, later in this month. The series against Australia will comprise four Tests, three ODI’s and three T20s.

According to reports, skipper Virat Kohli has stepped into Team India’s bio-secure bubble, while BCCI has ensured all precautionary measures for the team, set to take off for Australia.

“Kohli moved into the Team India bubble last night after the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is likely to take a day or two off and start preparing for the series in Australia,” said the source as quoted by Times Now.

The squad, for all the three formats, has already been announced, following which the 32-member squad will take off for Sydney on November 12. As per the plans, all the players will fly from Dubai in one go. Players such as Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari, who didn’t feature in IPL, have also landed in the UAE and will depart with the entire Indian squad.

Just as the Indian players reach the Australian continent, they undergo mandatory 14 days of quarantine, following which they will lock horns with each other in the first ODI on November 27.
