Next MS Dhoni? Here's what Rishabh Pant thinks

India is coming off a historical performance in the four-Test series, in Australia, thus retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rishabh Pant happened to be the man who played a stellar role in the side's success, especially in the final two Tests, as he gets compared to MS Dhoni.

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant has been in the news of late, owing to his prolific performance in the just-concluded four-Test series in Australia. It was due to his enforcement, India managed to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

As Team India returns to India, Pant was given a heroic welcome, while fans an critics are drawing comparison to legendary former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. Although Pant is happy to be compared to the legend, he believes that he should make a name for himself, rather than being compared to some legend.

"You feel amazing when you are compared to someone like MS Dhoni and you compare me with him. It's amazing, but I don't want to be compared with anyone, I want to make myself as a name in Indian cricket because it's not good to compare some legend with some youngster," he said following return from Australia, reports PTI.

"I think the whole team is very happy with the way we played the series in Australia," he said on the team's performance Down Under. Pant finished as the highest run-scorer for India, having scored 274 runs in five innings at an average of 69.89, including twin half-centuries.

Pant and Team India would now shift their focus to England, who they take on from February 5 at home, in a four-Test series for the Anthony de Mello Trophy. India is the defending champion for this series.
