Natarajan has been having some troubles with his knee ever since the tour of Australia earlier this year. While he underwent rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, he missed the home series against England before being cleared for the IPL.

Natarajan only played against Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore, claiming a couple of wickets at an economy of 8.62. While he has been replaced by pacer Khaleel Ahmed in the playing XI, a proper replacement from him is yet to be announced.
