IPL 2021 continues to entertain the fans by taking place in the UAE. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals has given Sunrisers Hyderabad a tough time in its clash in Dubai on Wednesday.

Delhi Capitals (DC) continued its dominant form, giving a hard time to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 33 of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. DC notched up an easy eight-wicket win, thanks to pacer Kagiso Rabada's fine bowling, aided by sensible batting from Shikhar Dhawan (42) and Rishabh Pant (47).

Winning the toss, SRH skipper Kane Williamson elected to bat. However, the decision seemingly backfired, as it lost its openers within the powerplay, by 19 runs, with David Warner (0) and Wriddhiman Saha (18) departing for cheap.

Thereon, SRH just lacked some brilliant partnerships to lift its innings. Every 20 odd runs later, the wickets kept tumbling. As SRH finished on 134/9, Abdul Samad was the top scorer among the final five batsmen, scoring 28 before falling to Rabada in the 19th over. Also, Rashid Khan did his part by contributing 22 and departing in the last over off a run-out.

For DC, six bowlers were utilised, with Rabada attaining the most success, claiming a three-for. However, it was Nortje who nailed it with his economy of just 3.00.

As DC came out for the chase, with just 20 runs on the board, Prithvi Shaw departed for a mere 11 to pacer Khaleel Ahmed in the third over. However, Dhawan and Iyer contributed to a 52-run stand for the second wicket to put DC in a strong position.

In the 11th over, Dhawan fell to spinner Rashid Khan. However, in came skipper Rishabh Pant and saw out the rest of the chase with Dhawan, scoring 35 for himself, while DC notched up a comfortable win by eight wickets, with 13 balls to spare and going atop the table, as it is just a couple of wins away from the playoffs berth.

SRH put five bowlers into the attack. While Khaleel and Rashid were the ones to attain success, the latter impacted with his economy as usual.
