IPL 2020: Purple Cap holders in IPL history

The IPL has seen 12 bowlers winning the purple cap to date. The record of winning the most purple caps is two.  

The domestic cricket in 2008 gave a thirst to the youngsters whose performances started coming to the fore. The bowling talent grew at a tremendous pace. So, to acknowledge and accelerate the energy, ‘purple cap’ was introduced. The cap was given to the player taking the highest wickets in that tournament.
