IPL 2020: Chris Gayle, who attended Usain Bolt’s birthday bash, takes COVID tests

Kingston (Jamaica): After Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), there was a scare among the Indian Premier League (IPL) fans as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) batsman Chris Gayle had attended the multiple Olympic champion’s birthday bash last week.

As Gayle has to join his KXIP teammates in the UAE for IPL 2020, the left-handed batsman got himself tested for COVID-19.

Last week, he was one of the attendees at Bolt’s party. Bolt is in quarantine in Kingston after testing COVID-19 positive.

On his Instagram account, on Monday (August 24), the West Indian opening batsman shared videos of the coronavirus tests.

Gayle, as he has always been, was in a jovial mood as he was tested.

Sharing videos on Instagram Stories, Gayle announced to his fans that his tests had turned negative.

Now, Gayle is set to travel to the UAE to join his Punjab teammates.
