The final approval for upcoming India's tour of Australia has been given the green signal from the Australian government. This would be the first tour of the Australian home season in 2020-21.

India are all set to tour Australia for a complete series, as it is set to consist of three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and four Tests. India are also the defending champions of the Border-Gavaskar Test series, having won it on their previous tour in 2018-19.

The confirmation of the tour came on Thursday after it was approved by the New South Wales government that the Indian team would quarantine in Sydney following their arrival. The players would also be granted permission to train in the nearby facilities.

The players are currently playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the bio-bubble sphere. Following the conclusion of the tournament, the players involved would depart for Australia, directly from the UAE, in batches, while the players involved only in Tests would arrive directly from India.

The tour is set to start with the ODIs, that would be played between November 27 to December 1. While the opening two ODIs would be played in Sydney, the third ODI would take place in Canberra.

Things would then move to the T20Is, which would be held between December 4-8. While the opening T20I would be played in Canberra, the final two would move to Sydney.

As for the four Tests, it would run between December 17 to January 19. It starts in Adelaide with the Day-Night Test, followed by Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, respectively.
