The Nanda Devi Glacier has triggered immense floods in the Chamoli district, disrupting regular life and causing widespread havoc, along with loss of life and property. Along with the Indian Army, the National Disaster Management Authority is conducting rescue operations in the region affected and devasted by the flash flooding.
