India vs Australia 2020-21: T Natarajan thanks Virat Kohli and co for dream debut

T Natarajan has made a memorable debut in the limited-overs format for Team India. He is coming off a strong performance in the Indian Premier League 2020, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he finished as their second-highest wicket-taker.

Rising Indian pacer T Natarajan had a dream debut in Australia, in the limited-overs. Also, it was owing to his satisfactory bowling performance, India managed to win the Twenty20 International (T20I) series, Down Under.

Natarajan made his debut in the third One-Day International (ODI), in Canberra, where he claimed 270, as India won the tie to avoid a series whitewash. He followed it up in the T20Is, claiming 683 and being the side's highest wicket-taker.

Following a 2-1 win the T20Is, it ended Natarajan's stint in Australia. Meanwhile, he took to his Twitter handle, sharing his experience with Team India, following his memorable debut, and thanked all his teammates.

"The last few months have been surreal. My maiden outing with #TeamIndia and we won the T20I series. A dream come true moment made special by the champion bunch. I thank my teammates for their constant support and encouragement. Thank you, everyone, for your love & support," his post read.

Natarajan is not a part of the upcoming four-Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, starting December 17. However, he is likely to be placed as a back-up option by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), provided any bowler ends up getting injured.

Natarajan is coming off a terrific season in the 2020 Indian Premier League. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), it happened to be his debut season for the side, as he finished as their second-highest wicket-taker, claiming 16 wickets in the same number of matches, at an economy of 8.02, while his side finished third.
