India have sealed their fifth consecutive T20I series win, while it was also their ninth successive match win in the format. The three-match series would come to an end on Wednesday, with the third and final T20I at the same venue. It was also India's 3rd back-to-back T20I win here.

It can finally be said that India are in firm control of the shortest format of the game, as they tamed hosts Australia in the second of the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I), at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), on Sunday.
