In pictures: India leave for Australia in customised PPE kits and masks

The Indian team is off to Australia for a gruelling two-month tour, where they would play three ODIs and T20Is each, along with a four-Test series. India are the defending champions of the ODIs and Tests in Australia, while the T20Is had previously ended in a 1-1 draw.

As the much-hyped Indian Premier League (IPL) comes to an end, the focus is back to international cricket. The Indian team, along with the Australian team, will have a bilateral duty, as they are off to Australia for a complete tour.

The tour would comprise of three ODIs and T20Is each, along with a four-Test series. The entire Indian contingent, along with the remaining Australian players, left for Down Under from Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where the IPL 2020 was held entirely.

Meanwhile, it would be a whole different scenario this time around, as the trip would be conducted under all protection, keeping in mind the safety measures, owing to the challenges surrounding the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the players are being asked to adhere to the rules in the bio-bubble sphere strictly.

As the team left for Sydney on Wednesday, the players were seen in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, along with masks, which have been customised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The kits worn by the players had their names and jersey number embroidered in it, which are to be worn only by the player himself.

Before leaving from Dubai, the players also engaged in a photo session, as skipper Virat Kohli, along with Shubman Gill, is seen posing for the camera.

Also, vice-captain and wicketkeeper-opening batsman KL Rahul is seen along with opener Shikhar Dhawan and all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
