Prithvi Shaw, the young Indian cricketer turns 21 today. He had lead India to the 2018 ICC U-19 World Cup win and even made a remarkable Test debut. On his special day, have a look at the milestones that the young gun has achieved in cricket so far.

The stalwart from Mumbai, Prithvi Shaw has emerged as a promising cricketer recently. He is an Indian cricketer, who in 2018, led the ICC Under-19 World Cup win for India. Currently, he is playing the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and plays for Delhi Capitals (DC).As he turns 21 today, let’s hog some light on his cricketing success so far.

Shaw's IPL journey started when he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils (DC now) in the 2018 IPL auction for ₹1.2 crores.On April 23,2018, Shaw became the youngest player to open the batting in the IPL at the age of 18 and 165 days, while playing for Delhi Daredevils during their match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

Shaw made his Test debut against West Indies in 2018 and in that same match, he scored his maiden century and became the youngest batsman to make a Test century on debut for India (18 years and 319 days). When India won the second Test by ten wickets, Shaw was adjudged as the Player of the Series. It was in January 2020, Shaw was named in India's ODI squad for India’s series against New Zealand.

At a tender age, he captained India Under-19 World Cup team. Besides showing his brilliant performance with the bat, he, along with the other mates lifted the Under-19 World Cup trophy for India.

Shaw had set a new record in 2013, where he scored 546 runs from 330 balls, playing for Rizvi Springfield in a Harris Shield match. It was the highest score in Indian schoolcricket until the record was broken in 2016. His batting lasted for six hours and seven minutes, where he smashed 85 fours and five sixes.

Besides, the young player also captained Rizvi Springfield to two Harris Shield titles in 2012 and 2013, the most prestigious trophy in Indian youth cricket. In 2012, he scored 155 in the semi-final and 174 in the final match. He even trains and plays for MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai, where Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin, is a teammate.

In April 2012, Shaw was invited to England to play for Cheadle Hulme School in Manchester and made his List-A debut for Mumbai in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
