Starting from renowned cricketers to some rookies, some of these cricketers have not backed put from putting the criticism on the legend, via tweets. However, owing to this very deed, they have often faced the flak of Indian fans on the same platform, as we take a look at those cricketers.

Sanjay Manjrekar: The former cricketer-turned commentator, Manjrekar is not in the good books of all fans, owing to his weird tendency to say things on-air that are controversial, baseless or factless. Moreover, he often spills it on Twitter. Following the 2019 ICC World Cup, Manjrekar wrote, “Here’s something interesting about Dhoni -. 41 off 87 balls v spin this WC. But, in the warm-up games, 69 off 56 balls v spin. That tells me it’s mental too. He does not put his wicket on the line as much in the big games.” Naturally, fans roasted him, as Dhoni had a decent tournament throughout.

Jofra Archer: The English pacer has made a name for himself ever since his debut last year. However, he has already developed the audacity to speak against legends, as he did so against Dhoni. It was in 2014 when Dhoni-lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had failed to win a match against Kings Xi Punjab (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He posted a couple of tweets, reading “Dhoni feel he smart.” and “Dhoni loooool.” Consequently, he, too, was not spared by Dhoni fans.

Matt Parkinson: The English spinner managed to play a couple of limited-overs games each. However, he has not been a consistent member of the team so far. Surprisingly, the 24-year-old has decided to take a heavy dig at not just Dhoni, but even Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. He took to his Twitter, where in a series of tweets, he blasted both and even called them a disgrace. Just imagine the level in which the fans attacked him on the platform.

David Lloyd: One of the most unexpected names on the list happens to be former English cricketer and now a commentator, David Lloyd. It was after the 2019 CWC when Dhoni had decided to go on a break and serve the Indian Territorial Army in Kashmir. As Sky Sports posted a tweet on the same, David replied by posting two “teary-eyed laughing” emoticons. Quite merely, fans wrecked him for his reply.

Gautam Gambhir: Former Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir has always had his differences with Dhoni and also happens to be one of the most outspoken Indian cricketers. In one of the pictures on Twitter, where Dhoni was seen hitting the winning six of the 2011 CWC, Gambhir commented on the same, saying that it wasn’t the shot that won the title, but a team effort. While many fans agreed to Gambhir, Dhoni fans were not pleased with his comments and just ripped him apart on Twitter. It also led to a war of words between the Indian and Dhoni fans.
