Mohammed Shami: The seamer was the first to get injured, fracturing his wrists while batting during the opening day-night Test in Adelaide. Having been ruled out, he looks doubtful for the opening two Tests against England at home.
undefined
Umesh Yadav: The pacer injured his calf muscle during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. Having been ruled out, he is currently rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is expected to be back for England Tests.
undefined
KL Rahul: The wicketkeeper opening batsman did not get a game in the opening two Tests. While he looked certain for the third Tess, he suffered a wrist injury while batting at the nets. As of now, it is unclear if he would be fit before the England series.
undefined
Ravindra Jadeja: The all-rounder suffered a blow to his left thumb while batting in the third Test's first innings. He has been diagnosed with a dislocated thumb, along with a fracture. He is likely to be out for a couple of months, which effectively rules him out from the England series.
undefined
Rishabh Pant: The wicketkeeper-batsman took a blow to his left elbow while batting in the same innings. Nonetheless, it was not that serious, as the pain killers seemed to have worked, while he batted brilliantly in the second innings, scoring 97. He is likely to play in Brisbane again.
undefined
Hanuma Vihari: The all-rounder suffered a hamstring strain, which happens to be Grade 2. He is likely to be ruled out from Brisbane, while his participation against England, too, looks uncertain.
undefined
Ravichandran Ashwin: The veteran all-rounder took a blow to his ribs, besides suffering back spasms, as he found it difficult to sleep or tie his laces. Nonetheless, with medication and physiotherapy, he is likely to be fit for Brisbane.
undefined
Mayank Agarwal: The opener failed to fire in the opening two Tests and was dropped in the third, while he was hit in the gloves during practice. As of now, it seems like a bruise and provided Vihari is ruled out, Agarwal might have to rely on painkillers to play it through.
undefined
Jasprit Bumrah: The pacer has suffered an abdominal muscle strain and missed out the Sydney Test's final spell. As a part of workload management, he is likely to sit out of Brisbane.
