The actress recently shared an emotional appeal on Instagram, revealing that she has been undergoing treatment in a hospital for the past three months.

Sundarashree Appeals For Financial Help

In her Instagram appeal, Sundarashree said that she is unwell and needs financial support. She requested people to come forward and help her meet the expenses related to her treatment.

The actress said she has been admitted to the hospital for three months. While she did not publicly disclose detailed information about her medical condition in the appeal, she made an urgent request for financial assistance.

Sundarashree’s Connection To Gubbi Veeranna

Sundarashree comes from a prominent family associated with Kannada theatre and cinema. She is the granddaughter of Dr Gubbi Veeranna, one of the most celebrated figures in Kannada theatre and an important name in the history of the Kannada film industry.

She also belongs to a family of artists and is associated with renowned theatre personalities including B. Jayashree and Vyjayanthi Kashi. Sundarashree herself pursued formal acting training at the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi before establishing her career.

Sundarashree’s Films And Television Career

Sundarashree began her film career in 1970 with the Dr Rajkumar-starrer Paropakara. She later appeared in Chandrashekar Kambar’s Kaadu Kudre in 1979. Her other film credits include Adhe Raaga Adhe Bhaava, Bala Hombale and Trunk.

Apart from Kannada cinema, Sundarashree also worked in television. She appeared in the popular series Malgudi Days, directed by Shankar Nag, and became particularly recognised among Kannada television audiences for her role in the 2003 serial Gupta Gamini.

With decades of work across cinema, television and theatre, Sundarashree has been part of Karnataka’s entertainment industry for several years. Her recent appeal for financial assistance has now brought attention to her ongoing hospitalisation.
