A viral video claiming to show veteran Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit in a revealing outfit at a public event has been circulating widely on social media. The clip quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom were shocked by the footage and questioned its authenticity. However, reports and social media users have pointed out that the video appears to be AI-generated and manipulated.
The controversy gained traction after advocate Shonee Kapoor shared the video on X. Journalist Jaideep Pandey responded by stating that the clip was not genuine and was created using artificial intelligence. He urged users to verify content before sharing it online, warning that misleading posts can spread confusion and unnecessary outrage within minutes.
Several other users also examined the footage and claimed it was a deepfake. The incident highlights the growing challenge of identifying digitally altered content, especially when advanced AI tools can make fake videos appear highly realistic.
Interestingly, Madhuri Dixit had shared photographs from the same event on her social media account on March 10, 2026. In those images, she wore the same gown seen in the viral clip. However, the outfit looked elegant and modest, with no signs of the exaggerated neckline or revealing appearance shown in the manipulated video.
This comparison has led many to believe that the original visuals were altered to create a misleading version of the actress’s appearance.
Madhuri Dixit is the latest celebrity to become a victim of deepfake technology. In recent years, stars including Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and others have faced similar issues. As of now, Madhuri has not publicly reacted to the viral video.
