Vikram 58: Cricketer Irfan Pathan makes acting debut with Tamil movie

Cricketer Irfan Pathan is making his acting debut with Kollywood movie Vikram 58. He has been cast as the main villain in the movie starring Chiyaan Vikram, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
Chennai: Vikarm 58 will have a stylish villain. Cricketer Irfan Pathan is all set to make his acting debut sharing screen space with Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram.
Irfan Pathan has been roped in as the main villain in the yet to be titled (Vikram 58) movie starring Chiyaan Vikram. Pathan has completed shooting for the first schedule of the Kollywood movie. Vikram 58 is being directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Imaikkaa Nodigal fame.
Post completion of shooting (first schedule, Pathan thanked Tamil people for believing in him.
Irfan Pathan also shared a still from the shooting sets.
Irfan wrote: "Greetings (Vanakkam) All.. Thanks to all Tamilians for helping my first step in acting... First schedule completed successfully... I'm waiting to see everyone again.. (sic)."
Replying to the same, director Ajay wrote: "Already missing you sir @IrfanPathan (sic)."
Irfan Pathan is away from the Indian team since 2012. He was part of Kings XI Punjab team and Gujarat Lions. He was not seen in IPL too since 2017.
Whereas Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in the movie Kadaram Kondan that was released in July 2019. Vikram is busy launching his son Dhruuva in Kollywood.
Vikram 58 is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio. And its music is being composed by AR Rahman.
