Synopsis

The event saw the attendance of who's who of Kollywood along with Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi who flew down from Mumbai for the event. 

During the weekend, a prayer meeting was organised in Chennai in honour of Bollywood icon Sridevi where the actors from Tamil film industry paid homage to the late actress.

Actors Suriya, Arun Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Jyotika, Meena, Raadika Sarathkumar, Gayathri Raghuram, K Bhagyaraj, Vineeth, Srikanth, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, fashion designer Manish Malhotra and Lata Rajinikanth made their presence felt. According to reports, earlier in the day, the South Indian Artists Association (SIAA) had organised a condolence meeting in which several office-bearers and members, including actors Bhagyaraj, Sivakumar, Sripriya and Ambika were present.

 

 

 

 

Earlier in the day, Tamil superstar Ajith and his wife Shalini met Boney and his daughters at their residence at CIT Nagar to express their condolences. 

 

However, Tamil film industry icons like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan skipped the meeting due to unknown reasons. While Rajini is off to the Himalayas on a spiritual trip, Kamal Haasan is busy with his political meetings. Both actors had attended Sridevi's funeral in Mumbai and had met Boney Kapoor and family members.


Sridevi passed away due to accidental drowning on February 24 in Dubai.
