Deepika refuses to work with TV actor in Padmavati, Shahid in talks now
Synopsis
A well-known TV actor had been roped in to play Deepika Padukone's husband in the film. But Deepika allegedly did not agree to share screen space with the said actor as she would also be required to shoot some intimate scenes with her onscreen husband.
Another report claims that after Deepika refused to put her foot down, Shahid Kapoor was roped in to play Deepika's husband in the film. The film is based on the life of Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh) and his obsession with Rani Padmavati (played by Deepika). Shahid Kapoor, if reports are true, will be seen as Padmavati's husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.
A few days ago rumours were rife with the reports of 'Raman Raghav' actor Vicky Kaushal having turned down the role of Deepika's husband in the film as the actor believed he had a very small part to play in the film.
