"Rumours of Jagathy Sreekumar's death is hoax", says son in law

Synopsis

Jagathy Sreekumar was quite popular in Mollywood movies for his comic characters. The actor has done almost 1000 movies in his four decades long career.

Shaun George, son in law of acclaimed actor Jagathy Sreekumar has slammed rumours of the actor's death. George said that his father-in- law is doing fine and the social media should stop spreading fake news.

The message was circulated with an artificial screenshot of a prominent Malayalam news channel showing the actor’s photograph and a news scroll informing his death.  The message went viral on social media sites like Whatsapp and Facebook.

Apparently, it is not the first time fake rumours of Sreekumar's death is doing rounds in social media. The popular actor, who was a quintessential part of Malayalam movies had met with a horrible car accident in 2012 at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district and since then has been keeping away from making public appearances.

The actor has acted in more than 1,000 Malayalam films.

Earlier, death rumours of comedy actors like Innocent and Mammookoya had also made rounds on the Internet.
