Rima Kallingal to star in a movie based on Kochi Metro, film inspired by E Sreedharan

The multi-modal transport system will now work as the background for a Malayalam movie.  The movie stars Rima Kallingal, Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley and Santhosh Keezhatoor in pivotal roles. The story revolves around P.K. Lalitha, a salesgirl from Thripunithura, who is a big fan of the 'Metro Man' E Madhavan

On Saturday, June 17, the Kochi Metro was inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will give a new life to the city especially to the transport system. The multi-modal transport system will now work as the background for a Malayalam movie. 

Many Mollywood celebs have also shown their excitement towards the launch of Kochi Metro. Now, a movie based on Kochi Metro, named Arabikkadalinte Rani - The Metro Woman is being made featuring popular actress Rima Kallingal playing the female protagonist, PK Lathika, while the role of E. Sreedharan will be essayed by a mega star in Malayalam. 

The story revolves around P.K. Lalitha, a salesgirl from Thripunithura, who is a big fan of the 'Metro Man' E Madhavan (the character based on E Sreedharan) and her efforts to meet him. 

The film will be co-directed by M Padmakumar and scriptwriter-turned-filmmaker S Suresh Babu. The story, screenplay and dialogues are jointly written by S. Suresh Babu and M.U. Pradeep. The cinematography is by Madhu Neelakandan, editing by Vinod Sukumaran, and art direction by Manu Jagath.

The movie also stars Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley and Santhosh Keezhatoor in pivotal roles. The movie is all set to release this Christmas, and the film is produced by V.G. Films International.
