In Pics: Radhika Apte, Adil Hussain’s sex scene from Parched leaked online

A leaked viral sex scene from the film "Parched" featuring Adil Hussain and Radhika Apte, produced by Ajay Devgn, highlights female empowerment in a repressive Rajasthan setting.

A sex scene featuring Adil Hussain and Radhika Apte making wild and passionate love from the film Parched was leaked online, and it went viral on WhatsApp last night.

Parched is produced by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, and is directed by Leena Yadav. The filmmakers have approached the police, while the actor Adil Hussain caught in the midst of it has referred to the whole experience as “bizarre”.

Parched is about four women: a wife, a mother, a daughter and a prostitute, living the worst lives in the most remote parts of Rajasthan. They decide to leave their respective homes and reclaim their lives. The movie is set in an Indian village and deals with female sexuality thriving in a repressed world of gender inequities. 

According to the director, Yadav, the plot is based on the fact that sexual desire is not a male prerogative; even a woman has the right to enjoy. It also stars Surveen Chawla, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Lehar Khan and Riddhi Sen. The movie was premiered at the 2015 International Toronto Film Festival. Parched also received accolades at the recently concluded IFF in Melbourne.  The movie is set to release in the US on September 17.
