
Prithviraj Sukumaran’s latest Malayalam film, Khalifa, has made a strong start at the worldwide box office. The action-packed film, which hit theatres on August 20, has reportedly crossed the ₹30 crore mark in worldwide collections within its opening days.
The film, which received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Censor Board, has been receiving a positive response from audiences. Its performance in overseas markets has particularly stood out, with a significant contribution to its overall earnings.
Khalifa Overseas Box Office Collection
According to a report by Sacnilk, Khalifa has collected around ₹14 crore from overseas markets alone. The strong international performance has helped the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer cross the ₹30 crore milestone worldwide.
With audiences continuing to show interest in the film, Khalifa is expected to maintain its momentum at the box office in the coming days.
Directed by Vysakh and written by Jinu Abraham, Khaleefa features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of Mambarackal Aamir Ali. Superstar Mohanlal also makes a special guest appearance as Mambarackal Ahmed Ali.
Malavika Sharma plays the female lead, while the supporting cast includes Renji Panicker, Shivajiit, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, Shine Varghese, Mohini, Kaira and Master Nafash.
Jinu Abraham has also produced the film under his banner, Jinu Innovations. Sooraj Kumar, Sreelal Soorapani and Sijo Sebastian serve as co-producers.
The film’s music has been composed by Jakes Bejoy, with its songs already gaining popularity and trending online. Jomon T. John is the cinematographer, while Chaman Chacko has handled the editing.
Mohandas is credited with production design, while the action sequences have been choreographed by Yannick Ben, Phoenix Prabhu and Chetan D'Souza.
The technical team also includes Co-Director Suresh Divakar, Executive Producer Shine Varghese, Costume Designer Mashar Hamsa, Art Director Vishwanath Aravind and Makeup Artist Amal Chandran. Sound design has been handled by Sync Cinema.
Jabir Sulaim has provided additional music, while M R Rajakrishnan has handled the final mix. Reni Divakar and Vinos Kaimal have controlled the production.
With strong audience reactions, an impressive overseas contribution and ₹30 crore already in the bag worldwide, Khaleefa is off to a promising start at the box office.
