Sultry Mollywood beauty Rajisha Vijayan wants pithy roles

Synopsis

Acting with biggies and winning a fair share of appreciation from the audience is no child's play for a newcomer. In an industry where one's talent comes foremost and beauty is only secondary, Rajisha Vijayan knows she has to hit the bull's eye.

 

 Nonchalant by all the adulations she received for her character Eli in 'Anuraga Karikkin Vellam,'  debutant actress Rajisha Vijayan says she is one among the lucky few who got to portray a character that had so many shades attached.

"Eli is not a character with all positives. She also has her  shortcomings and the audience can easily relate to her," says Rajisha

 

In an exclusive interview to asianetnews.tv, Rajisha, who is all praises for the script and her co-stars said the director Khalid Rahman and script writer Naveen Bhaskar had complete faith in her and lends the success of the movie to the team effort.

 

 

 Bitten by acting bug at a young age, Rajisha, a Kochiate, started as television anchor. But she says that television was never her stepping stone to films. “Small screen will always be her first love,” she said.

"Anchoring and acting are two different things. The personality of Rajisha should never reflect in the characters I do. However, my experience as a TV host has given me the confidence and the ease while facing the camera."

Calling herself a director's actress, Rajisha likes to give utmost importance to performance oriented roles than to count the number of scenes she had in a movie.
