It got to the point that the TN health minister also spoke about the infants.
As Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and the babies continue to be grabbing headlines, the filmmaker took to Instagram and shared a cryptic post about being patient. “Everything comes to you in the right moment. Be patient. Be grateful (sic)," read the note.
Vignesh has been busy on Instagram, posting pictures and sending the happy couple congratulations, but he and Nayanthara have stayed silent over the current surrogacy debate.
Ma Subramanian, the health minister for Tamil Nadu, said on Monday that the state government will look into it. He said that the state administration will look into it during a news conference. "There are several discussions about surrogacy itself. However, the legislation permits those who are over 21 and under 36 to participate in surrogacy with the family's consent, according to the minister, as stated by The Indian Express.
What is Surrogacy law in India?
Commercial surrogacy is outlawed in India. However, the requirement for surrogacy in India is that the surrogate should have their own kid and be at least once married. A law that was put into force earlier this year said that only altruistic surrogacy would be permitted, in which case the parents would not be responsible for anything other than the surrogate's medical costs and insurance coverage.
On June 9 of this year, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan exchanged vows.
