Mollywood on fire in August: Mohanlal vs. Jayasurya
Synopsis
Puli Murugan is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15 while National Award winner Jayasurya's action thriller IDI has an August 12 date slotted.
Puli Murugan, directed by Vysakh, is the most anticipated Malayalam project of the year. Actress Kamalinee Mukherjee plays the female lead, while Telugu actor Jagapati Babu portrays the role of the antagonist.
Mohanlal's film was earlier scheduled to release in July first week. But the film was delayed due to reshoots of several scenes. Mohanlal is playing the title character, Murugan, who is a wild hunter. The film is based on a true story and is slated to be the biggest budget film ever made after Pazahhasi Raja.
Jayasurya's the movie IDI where he is playing the role called (IDI) Inspector Dawood Ibrahim, and it promises to be a complete action entertainer.
The month of August will also see the release of Prithviraj's Oozham, which is directed by Jeethu Joseph.
